    • Are Lift Passes needed for all slopes?

We are looking to go to Arinsal and are not sure on the ski lift pass situation. We are bringing our son and all 3 of us a complete beginners so would not be heading to the top of the mountains. We would plan to just use the training type slopes with button or drag lifts or the conveyor belt types depending on what they have there. Do we need them for this? It seems a large expense when we arent serious skiers and will probably spend more time drinking hot chocolate than on our skis!!! Many Thanks for any advise.
    • Hi MB23

You can buy a gondola pass to take you up to the slopes - this costs €8.50 per adult / €7 per child.

You can then buy a beginners "magic carpet" pass for €15 per day. This doesn't cover any other lifts or slopes, so once you progress to the beginners chairlift you'd need a full area pass.

These types of passes can't be pre-booked and only are purchased on a daily basis.

    • Hi Steve,

Many Thanks for your quick and very helpful replies.

If you don't mind me asking another quick question, if we choose to just pick up our ski equiptment on arrival instead of pre booking through the website would we have to pay more or is it the same price? We might only want to try it for a day and then see how we go from there if we want to rent them again during our stay.
