Pal-Arinsal is one of Andorra's most family-friendly resort areas. Nurseries accept children from age 1, snow gardens get little ones onto skis from age 3, and the whole village is walkable from the main lift station. The children's facilities sit at the top of the Arinsal gondola alongside the ski school and equipment hire — once you've ridden up, everything is in one place.
Under-sixes ski free and English-speaking instructors are widely available. It's an excellent first-ski-holiday choice.

Nursery care for children aged 1-5 in Arinsal & Pal.
An indoor facility with experienced staff. Activities include playing with toys, painting, storytelling and videos. The nursery accepts children from age 1 — younger than Soldeu, where the minimum age is 2.

We'd recommend booking in advance, especially during peak weeks. The nursery has limited capacity and is popular at half-term and Christmas.

Outdoor introduction to skiing for children aged 3-5
An outdoor programme with specialised instructors in an enclosed area at the top of the Arinsal gondola. Children build balance and confidence through play, learning to snowplough at their own pace. Skis, boots and a helmet are required (available to hire separately).

The Kids Program keeps children busy all day with a mix of snow activities - snowshoeing tours, igloo construction, search for tracks, tubing, sleds and various activities with animation in the snow.

Everything you need to know about booking lift passes for children in Arinsal
Under-sixes ski free in Pal-Arinsal — just bring their passport to the lift windows to be issued a complimentary pass.
Free lift passes for under-sixes can't be pre-booked online — they're issued at the resort ticket office on arrival when you show the child's passport or ID.
