If you're going to Arinsal with children then this essential information will help you to make the most of your holiday. There are lots of different options to choose from, with Arinsal catering for all ages encouraging people to get onto the snow from an early age!
For both Baby Club and Snow Garden, hours are flexible and can be matched up to ski and snowboard group lessons. Some tour operators allow you to pre-book spaces when you reserve your holiday, otherwise head there first thing when you arrive to book in as places are first-come-first-served. The building is located at the bottom of the nursery slopes. When you get off either the top of the gondola or chair lift from the Ushuaia Hotel, turn right and head along the flat area to the building with the spotted roof!
TO BOOK SNOW GARDEN OR BABY CLUB... You need to book directly with them - their telephone number is 00376 878065. They are open when the mountain is open, so only during the ski season dates.
This is an indoor facility for young children with experienced staff to look after them. Activities include playing with toys, painting, storytelling and videos.
Baby Club is a babysitting service where little ones will stay inside for the duration of their time, nappies and baby food must be provided where necessary.
With the emphasis on fun, the Snow Garden in Arinsal is just outside the Baby Club. Children skiing need to have skis and boots to join in at the Snow Garden where special instructors will help them to learn the basics in a purpose-built environment for kids. Children can build snowmen and enjoy their time outside but also go inside if they decide they have had enough or get cold.
While children enjoying the Snow Garden will have a chance to play around on skis, the emphasis will be on fun over learning, so if you are looking for your little ones to progress with their skills then check out the Group Ski School below.

When children are old enough, they can join group ski lessons and will be put into groups with children of a similar age. The experienced instructors help children to develop their skills and techniques whilst having as much fun as possible!
Group ski lessons for children are now from age 4 years upwards!
The above information may vary dependant on the week and the individual child's experience and abilities. The ski school coordinator will place children in a group purely based on what's best for their development and learning, due to this we can't guarantee that siblings/family members will be together. Adults and younger children will never be placed in the same groups.
Group snowboard lessons are available once children get a bit bigger and can use their weight and balance to control a snowboard. Children snowboarders will join with the adult group and will be split based on ability.
If younger children want to snowboard, a special enquiry must be made to the school however it is most probable that they would recommend private lessons if you were to insist on a younger child learning to snowboard.
If your child is too young for group lessons but you'd still like them to learn then you can book private ski or snowboard lessons - you can even join them in their lesson if you like, although obviously, the focus would be going at the pace of your child. With older children, it's recommended that you don't take your lessons together because you will learn at different speeds, plus your children can be put off from learning if they are conscious of their mum or dad watching over them! To check availability or book private lessons please complete our enquiry form here.

Children skiing that are aged under six will receive a free lift pass - all you need to do is take them with their passport (for proof of age) to one of the lift pass windows and it will be issued. Unfortunately, these free lift passes cannot be pre-booked. For children aged six and above you can pre-book their lift pass on our online shop.
