I've stayed there and been the rep for a tour operator there. Up until last year it was privately owned however I believe that over the summer it has been taken over by a chain therefore things could have changed. There are standard rooms which are quite dated, and superior rooms which are quite pleasant. It is a basic 3* hotel but is very friendly and in a good location.
