I stayed in the Poblado appts this year in march, I picked this hotel as my mates stayed there 3 years ago, it is the best located place to stay in Arinsal 40m from gondola.
rooms are quite basic but clean and staff are very friendly, kevin who runs the place is a top man even though he is a south african!!
Breakfast is bang on and pizzas are served till very late 2am I think.
I saw there was some holidays for £219 to poblado's the other day this is a bargin if i go Arinsal again (been 4 times before) I would alway try to get Poblado appts also the derby is good for a drink, the twins who run it know some good drinking games and Cisco's food is luverly!
you will have a great time i'm sure
Might go myself again in march

I agree, you cannot beat the location to the slopes & everything else around the area. Bar staff were really friendly & the rooms were comfortable, clean & safe. Kevin was a top man in Quo Vadis. I would always choose this place as stayed at the Daina appts near St Gothard in 2005 & the walk can be a killer when you carry your equipment up the hill. Can't wait till March
As above. We've just stayed there and the location can't be beaten. The rooms are a little basic but they're absolutely fine, a good size and really clean. Staff at the Quo are ridiculously friendly and really helped to make the holiday great.
Hi, I am staying at the poblado apartments in March and just wondered if they supply towels.? If anyone can let me know that would be much appreciated.
hey people anyone know the travling time & distance between arinsal & soldeu ??? we got two gangs going to both resorts on same week & i wondered if its easy enough to meet up ??
If you're taking the bus you'd have to change in Andorra la Vella and it will be just over an hour, or if you're driving it'll take about 30-35 minutes. If you're travelling with a tour operator I believe most of them offer an 'away day' on Thursday to the Grandvalira area.
There's another thread on here about getting over to El Tarter which you may find useful: more info
Driving between Arinsal and Soldeu will take about 40mins, depending upon the weather conditions and traffic etc, it’s a super easy drive and very well sign posted. From Arinsal you’ll head into La Massana, then onto Andorra la Vella the capital of Andorra. From here you’ll see signs for Encamp/Canillo to the left, this road will take you directly past Encamp, Canillo and onto Soldeu.
If you’re not planning on hiring a car, you could either meet in Andorra la Vella or catch the bus to Soldeu. From Arinsal you’ll catch the L5, which leaves about every 30 minutes starting at 8 until 20:45 and costs €2.75 one way. Upon arrival into Andorra la Vella you’ll then need to catch the L3 bus to Soldeu, which leaves every 20 minutes from 8:40 till 21:40 and cost €4.10 one way.
Some of the reps in Arinsal also sell a ski away day to Grandvalira, this might be a option too.
thank you both Sarah & Steve useful info think i may get their gang to come over to us, he he sounds like the traveling may interupt our drinking time. Cheers see you on the 30th jan Mark
The Poblado Hostel is closed for the season and is going to get a refurb over summer, although their bar is open. The Poblado Apartments above Quo Vadis are open as usual.
