|Condition of runs||
I went up for a couple of runs this morning - access by the Josep Serra (Crest) chairlift today. The higher slopes were beautiful, really nice snow and quiet too. Below the Obelix it was quite hard packed but still ok conditions. Today Arinsal hosted the vertical race of the Font Blanca competition, so more people we skiing uphill than downhill!!
Gale force winds in Arinsal today meant the slopes and lifts were closed. Pal and Arcalis remained open. Snow has been falling for the past few hours topping up the already deep snow on the mountain. Temperatures cold - between -2 and -10 degrees up top.
Cool mountain air and bright blue skies. Snow cannons are on adding to the piste. Perfect conditions for a day on the slopes. Temperatures are around -2 on the mountain in Arinsal.
Just come from the sector of Arcalis and conditions are superb. Lots of powder on the piste and so much space on the slopes. Light snow was falling around 45 mins ago which will add to the already great conditions. Snow cannons have also been on all day. Sun was out in the morning and clouded over by around 2-3pm. More snow is on the way! :D
We also have snow reports and weather forecasts for other resorts in Andorra:
Vallnord & Arinsal Webcams
New for 2013-14 we have some new webcam feeds with short video clips from the mountain which are a much better way for you to see the current snow conditions.
Arinsal Weather Forecast
The weather forecasts can vary quite a bit which is usually related to the ever changing weather here in Andorra! Being in the mountains it can be quite difficult to predict snowfall, especially quite a few days out. Generally we find the forecasts are more reliable the closer to the actual time! We've selected a couple which should load in below.
