Arinsal.co.uk was launched in during winter 2007-08 to provide information to people wanting to go to Arinsal in Andorra, as well as a place to share knowledge and stories about your experiences here.
The site is owned and run by ski enthusiasts Steve Hull and Emma Staples-Hull who first arrived in Arinsal in 2005. We know Arinsal inside out and are keen to pass on our in depth knowledge of this beautiful village with the aim of ensuring we deliver the best and most up to date information about the resort of Arinsal.
In January 2009 we created two new websites Pasdelacasa.com and Soldeu.com which along with Arinsal.co.uk have been branded under one umbrella as Andorra Resorts to provide the same local information to visitors throughout the principality of Andorra. We now offer both private and shared airport transfers as well as a selection of hotel and self catering accommodation across Andorra.
Due to expansion and now covering the whole of Andorra, our team grew to also include Ian, Sofia, Esther and Ellen, the team regularly ski every corner of the mountain, eat in the restaurants and enjoy a beverage or two in the local bars, as well as use all of the other amenities in the resorts. We believe in the importance of providing detailed information which is updated regularly.
As the website developed the obvious next step was to provide visitors the opportunity to save money on the hire of ski and snowboard equipment, therefore a partnership was created with local supplier Esports Sant Moritz, to offer our customers large discounts on the rental of quality ski and snowboard equipment. We use the same equipment ourselves so are confident in the quality and service provided. Naturally we also began to work with Vallnord in order to offer lift passes, as well as both group and private lessons so visitors can book their full ski or snowboard package with Arinsal.co.uk.
We are a small team of Arinsal experts, who take great pride in sharing our knowledge of the resort and helping our visitors book the perfect trip.
After growing up in Yorkshire and graduating with a degree in tourism management, Steve has gained 17 years experience in the travel industry, working throughout Europe as well as in North America. Steve first worked in Andorra in 2005 and after working here as a manager for tour operators for three winters, founded Andorra Resorts in 2008 putting together his knowledge of computers with experience of the mountains. Having skied for over 20 years, Steve loves getting on the slopes, and spending many winters in Andorra means he has a great knowledge of the country to pass on through the series of websites.
Emma has worked in the travel industry for 15 years, travelling extensively whilst working in Europe, Africa and South America for a major tour operator. Prior to setting up Andorra Resorts with Steve, Emma worked as Country Manager in Andorra for an online ski specialist, her in-depth experience within the industry, particularly within Andorra brings a wealth of knowledge to Andorra Resorts. She is passionate about making ski holidays more flexible and accessible, allowing as many people as possible to enjoy the slopes. Emma grew up in a sporting family and has a strong background in athletics and fitness, therefore combining travel and winter sports was a natural progression.
Although this is Olivia’s first time living and working in Andorra, she has previously done a ski season in Bulgaria as well as a summer season in Mallorca as a resort representative and has prior experience in working for the tourism industry. Olivia is passionate about ski holidays and went skiing for her first time to Italy when she was 13 and is looking to complete her level 1 IASI instructor course next year when this season finishes. In her spare time Olivia enjoys partaking in other activities such as cheerleading and trampolining and loves travelling to and experiencing new places. Arinsal is one of her favourite locations she has visited to date and hopes it becomes yours too.
Jeni was born is Essex but has spent most of her adult life living and travelling abroad. She only discovered mountain life just three winter seasons ago, here in Andorra. Now based in Arinsal, she absolutely loves the resort and is always keen to share her local knowledge. She adores the pretty village and this has been the perfect place for her to learn to snowboard. She knows the area, both the slopes and the village, like the back of her hand, and is more than happy to share advice with anyone visiting. Since leaving school, she has always worked in the travel and tourism industry, and her passion is making your trip really special. It also helps that Jeni truly adores Andorra and enjoys exploring the mountains, the epic scenery and everything else it had to offer.
Hailing from North Devon, Ian has over 15 years experience in the hospitality industry, with the majority of the last 10 years spent working overseas for the world’s largest tour operator. Having worked in diverse destinations such as France, Spain, Egypt and the U.A.E Ian’s passion comes from the enjoyment of delivering unforgettable experiences. Ian first worked in Andorra in 2007 and since then has spent 5 winter seasons living and working in Arinsal. An advocate of the country and local people he wants to take his knowledge of the county and it’s ski areas and allow as many people as possible to enjoy it as he has.
