First time on the mountain
Arinsal is one of Andorra's most beginner-friendly resorts — gentle slopes, English-speaking instructors and a friendly village to come home to.
Your first ski holiday is a pretty special experience, and hopefully the start of many years of winter sports enjoyment. Booking your first trip can feel a bit daunting — we're a very friendly and approachable bunch, and we believe there's no such thing as a stupid question.

Why Arinsal for beginners
Arinsal has earned its reputation as one of the easiest places to learn to ski or snowboard in Europe — here's why our team keep recommending it to first-timers.
Arinsal is easy to find your way around and there's plenty of gentle, well-groomed terrain to practise on. You can take your time learning to turn and stop without feeling rushed by faster skiers or steep runs you're not ready for yet.
All instructors at the ski school are highly trained and very used to teaching beginner skiers and snowboarders, and many of them are native British instructors — so you won't have to worry about any language barrier on your very first day.
There's a dedicated nursery slope and ‘magic carpet’ lift (best described as a conveyor belt for skiers and boarders) so you can find your feet before heading up the mountain. Pair that with sensibly-priced ski and snowboard rental and you've got everything you need.
Arinsal offers great value compared to many other ski destinations, with prices both on and off the slopes noticeably cheaper than much of the Alps. A great choice if you want to make sure your first ski trip doesn't blow the budget.
Arinsal is one of the friendliest, most down-to-earth ski villages around. After a day on the slopes you'll find plenty of welcoming après-ski bars and restaurants where you can swap stories, meet other beginners and unwind.
We're a friendly and approachable bunch, and we believe there's no such thing as a stupid question. If you're not sure where to start, just get in touch and we'll help you plan a first ski holiday that fits.
