Arinsal Ski School
The Arinsal Ski School and Snowboard School is found at the top of the gondola and has an excellent reputation. They have instructors from around the world, including many from the UK and Ireland, which means there are lots of native English speaking instructors to help you progress.
Why Take Lessons
Taking lessons when you come to Arinsal, or anywhere for that matter, should help you to enjoy your ski or snowboard holiday all the more. Here are just some of the many benefits . . .
|
|
Lessons are not just for beginners! Even the most advanced skiers and snowboarders still take lessons. Arinsal has some amazing instructors, qualified to the highest levels, with a wealth of experience to pass on to you. For skiers, there is even an advanced course available which looks in more detail at equipment, types of snow, avalanche safety, as well as your skiing technique.
Group Lessons vs Private Lessons
In Arinsal, you have two choices for lessons with pros and cons to both. Private lessons are more expensive, however you get all the attention of the instructor.
Group lessons are cheaper for the package, but you share the instructor with the group.
If you take group lessons, at the beginning of the week you will be split into groups according to your ability, and as one person asked me last year, yes, skiers and snowboarders have separate lessons!!!
You can also combine the two if you are coming as a group. You can book an instructor just to look after your group for the whole week which means you get to ski or snowboard with all your friends, as well as have an instructor dedicated to your needs!
So when you come to Arinsal, the decision of whether to take private or group lessons is down to you and your personal circumstances. You can pre-book both group and private lessons with Arinsal.co.uk before you arrive!

Booking Private Lessons
You can pre-book your private lessons through Arinsal.co.uk. To make your reservation you need to send a message, at least 10 days before you want lessons, using the contact form stating how many people will be with each instructor and how many hours you want on which dates. When you send your enquiry we ask for your preferred start time however please note that you are not guaranteed to get your preferred time.
So that you get the most benefit from having a private instructor it is not recommended that adults and children share the same lesson. This is because adults and children have different learning styles and progress at different speeds. We therefore suggest you take separate instructors, however if you insist then it is possible, however please make this clear when you send your enquiry.

Adaptive Skiing
Arinsal is very lucky to have a British ski instructor specially trained to teach adaptive skiing, and here is a little introduction from him. If you would like to book Marcus for private lessons please send us a message from the contact form explaining your requirements.
Snowsports is for everybody, and adaptive skiing allows people with disabilities to participate in alpine skiing.
My name is Marcus Upton, and I have been an Alpine BASI ISIA level 3 and BASI Adaptive level 2 instructor for numerous years now. Originally from Leicestershire in the UK, now I’m full time based in Arinsal, Andorra.
My association with the Arinsal ski school spans five seasons teaching able and adaptive skiers, but my passion is helping clients, such as yourself, to discover the wonders, joys, and thrills of skiing.
Whether you are a first time adaptive skier, a well travelled expert, or anywhere in between, it would be a pleasure to share my knowledge and experience with you to ensure the most memorable holiday. Snowsports provide disabled people with a method to conquer the barriers that confront them in daily life.
