Activities In Arinsal
There's loads to do on the mountain in Arinsal and surrounding area. Here are a few tasters . . .
Ski Bikes
A cross between skis and a mountain bike! When you rent them out you get an instructor who explains how to use them, and guides you around the mountain. Definately not for the feint hearted!
Helicopter Flights
Take off from Arinsal and zoom across Andorra taking in the fabulous mountain scenery. The panoramic flights go on a Wednesday and a Saturday, but you can also do a transfer over to Arcalis if you want to travel in style to the third resort of Vallnord.
Sledging - Arinsal by Night
Once a week, the mountain is open in the evening for sledging and a torchlit descent. Fantastic for families! The event is called Arinsal by Night, and includes sledging, a snack & a drink, a singer, and a torchlit descent down the mountain by the ski and snowboard instructors of Arinsal.
Snowmobiles
Driving a snowmobile across the snow is an exhillerating experience. If you've not do it before, then maybe give it a go in Arinsal. The only down side is that you have to be able to come down a blue run from the top of Arinsal mountain, as the circuit is actually just over in Pal. If you've been on a snowmobile before, then you could be a little disappointed with the snowmobiles in Arinsal, and may want to think about heading over to Arcalis and using them there.
Snow Shoeing
This takes a lot of energy, but once you're away from the crowds in the peace and quiet of the mountains, you'll appreciate the effort!
