    • Can I ask if there are any discounts on lift passes available locally? We are a family of two adults and three children ages 17,14,and 11, arriving on Friday 13th (!) Feb.
Just wondered if there was a Family deal or similar that might save us a few bob!
    • It's quite common for a tour operator to package a lift pass with a holiday to tempt you into booking, but this is only usually available for certain weeks of the season or by booking at certain times of year, so it's well worth looking out for special offers. As for just booking ski pack with a tour operator, if they allow you to do it just make sure you know exactly where you're supposed to collect things from or if you'd need to track down a holiday rep when you arrive.
    • Thanks for the pointers guys, tried Ski McNeill but as we suspected it is only available if you book travel/accomodation through them.
However, the agent thought that was a resort-wide offer (free passes for 14 or under), although there is no mention of it on the Vallnord website.

Sorry to sound like a tightwad, but E300 would buy a lot of beer...

Will definitely book our ski/boot hire through here though, a very good deal, especially as we're staying at the St Moritz apartments.
Excellent web site all round, in fact, good info and pictures, well done!
    • Vallnord card

      Hi
Just to let you know that we applied online for the Vallnord card well before we came on holiday, and it never arrived, in fact we still haven't received it.

Have to say that the service from Steve was excellent, we met up with him at 360 restaurant to pick them up, it was so much easier than waiting in a queue on the first morning, and unlike the people who work in the lift pass booth, he speaks English, and gave us some very good pointers and information.

No, free and discounted lift passes are definately a tour operator/travel agent promotion as they build it in to the price of the package. Free lift passes are available in resort for under 6's and over 70's, child price from 6-11 years, and discounted price for 65-69 years.
