  • ADB, keep the faith, you'll be fine and come away chuffed at having opened yourself up to a whole new world. We've ski'd for 5 years now, the first couple of days in ski school are the most daunting, but once you've found your legs (and you will find them) it begins to click, the confidence grows and the fun begins and remember it's not all about speed but more about control! Have fun and enjoy Arinsal/Pal it's a really friendly place to ski. Far more courteous than some F resorts.

  • I would recommend you try Ciscos. We tried a few of the other bars but this was our favourite, their happy hour lasts for a couple of hours - nice! Their nachos are good too and the service is really friendly. Ciscos was to blame for a sore head in the mornings when we were there in January.

  • Marsmy, The St Gothard is great, we stayed there 17th - 24th, don't be put off by the reviews that moan about the hill, its not that bad plus the ski bus is free. The food's good, the rooms are good, yes you can sometimes hear people in the corridors but not every night as some lead you to believe. We thoroughly enjoyed Andorra and the St Gothard, I don't think we've ever ski'd in a place where you are made to feel so welcome. Even the lift operators say hello!     ryanh1418, re the inflatable mattress. There didn't seem to be one available in Arinsal/Pal when we were there last week. However, depending on which T/O you go with you can get a trip over to Grandvilara for about €10, we did this (through Crystal) and if you find the main El Tartet? gondala there is a ski/board park almost immediately off it with the inflatable pillow for practising your air moves on.
