Just to let you know, our January competition is being sponsored by the RAC and one of the prizes is a set of snow chains. Look out for it on our Facebook page.

The fabric type cover is classed as a type of snow chain even though it's not actually a chain. Personally I've never used them, only the chain type so I couldn't give you any advice of what is best. You see many cars around with them on aswell as chains when the weather calls for it so it's really up to you. Just make sure you get the right size for the tyre

Hi Pete
The two big supermarkets on your left after you've come into Andorra but before Andorra La Vella are open on Sundays, but I'm not sure what time they close, sorry.

Thanks for the update on the Tunnels Steve.....
We will be arriving in Andorra late on a Sunday evening. We were planning to leave getting Snow Chains to the last minute and get them on the way if we need them.
Do you know if the Service stations / Garages that have them are still open on Sunday evenings, or are we taking a bit of a risk.
Cheers Pete. -
There are two new tunnels...
The one on the "French" side is between Encamp and Andorra la Vella, just before the capital, and it takes you to near Anyos so just before La Massana therefore cutting out the capital. This one is already open and it's free to use.
The one on the "Spanish" side is at St Julia but it's not open yet so it's the same route as always which you can see here>> It's been built/dug for a while now but doesn't look like it will be finished too soon.
