  • The Big Snow Festival

    spencer79

Fantastic week all round - couldn't have asked for better weather too, shame I'm now back to work!!!

Agree with you Steve that the mountain party was the best bit of the week.
  • So the very first Big Snow Festival is over, the partygoers have gone home, and everyone can now relax and recover from an excellent week!

All in all the week has to be seen as a great success - around 700 people came for the festival and it went without a hitch. I think the highlight of the week was the party on the mountain on Thursday evening with Pendulum headlining it. They had projections directly on to the mountain, a torchlight descent by Arinsal's ski and snowboard instructors, plus the piste bashers turned out to flash their lights too!

Throughout the week there were DJs playing at Panoramix bar on the mountain during the afternoon, followed by activities in several bars during apres ski such as quizes, a hat party, and of course a St Patricks day party, then the main events were in Surf and El Cau. With special sound and lighting equipment brought out from the UK, the venues were fit for the festival and coped really well considering it was the first of its kind in the village.

Looking forward, there's already talk of doing it again next year, so watch this space to see what's happening!
  • Apartments Caprici still have apartments available for The Big Snow Festival - just €385 for up to 4 people for 7 nights - that's just €96.25 per person!!!

If you're interested send us a message from the contact form.
  • Hi Jacqui

The week before is just a regular week with normal apres activities such as quiz nights, a pub crawl, sledging, the new Decades night, a beach party, karaoke nights etc etc. The mountain won't be affected by the preparations, and even the week of the festival the mountain will be open as usuall except for some times in the freestyle park for competitions.

    Hi Steve,

We are due to get to Arinsal on 7 March, we are only out for a week and sadly depart the same day as the snow festival begins! Can you tell me if there will be much going on the week we are there or if the snowboarding will be interupted due to your preparations for the festival.

We are a group of 12 looking to have a fantastic time on and off the piste!

    Cheers.
  • Only 43 days to go until The Big Snow Festival! Hundreds of tickets have been sold so it's looking like it's going to be a fantastic week! There's still plenty of accommodation available for the week, with apartments from €385 for 4 people available through Arinsal.co.uk!
