 Hotel Micolau does great steak and chips and the guinness is great there. Go try it and see.
The football is always on the tv cos the barman likes it but you can always wind him up by pretending to support the other team. Remember there are 2 menus, if you cant afford the posh one then ask for the other menu and the food is also great especially the chicken and chips which is the best in the world. It is one reason why I return every winter. Anyway tell them to turn the football off and put some winter sports on or just look the other way at the oil paintings on the wall.

It was close between Ciscos and The Derby, but the Irish bar just edged it for me having the band outside for Paddy's day - great atmosphere, loved it!
