    • Ski Lesson Level For 5 Year Old (Child/Infant)

      Hi,

We are coming to Arinsal for a week in March. My daughter (6 in November) has had 7 days of lessons so far. Last time out in Formigal the teacher reckoned she was ready for a lift after a day or 2 of getting used to the ski poles.

Would you recommend the Child or Infant classes? I think she's a bit past the Snow Garden stage but want to make sure.

      Kind regards,

      James
    • Hi James,

      Thanks for your message,

The difference between the Infant or the Children's lessons is more the strenght and the capacity of the children. Usually older children can have a 3 hour lesson on the mountain without problem, while 4 and 5 years old will get tired so the lesson is more focused on having fun on a relaxed way.

It depends a lot of your daughter's capacity, if you think she will be fine skiing on the mountain for 3 hours in a row with older children she could join children's lesson. This way she probably will take more advantage of the lessons.

It depends as well of the different group levels on the week, as sometimes there is a 4-5 years old advandce beginner group, however, other weeks there is only a beginner week and they spend the first days on the peke park which can be boring for your daughter if she has been in a lift before.
