    • Bar work and accommodation for 2014/15 (Arinsal)

      Hi guys,

Just got back from my first snowboarding holiday in Arinsal. I loved it so much I want to go back to work next season however I have no idea how to go about trying to get into it.

Would love to know how I can apply for jobs such as bar work? How much on average you get paid for bar work? and how much the average accommodation would cost?

I know I probably have loads more questions to ask but for the time being I can only think of those few

      Thanks in advance :D
    • Hi Collette

Hopefully whilst you were out here thinking you would like to come back and work you will made got some contact from bars and restaurants so you can get in touch with people later in the year about work. If not then I would look up the bars and restaurants you liked on facebook and then you can follow them and ask them questions there.
I couldn't tell you what kind of wages people get in the bars here I'm afraid but I think it's starting around 1'000-1'100€ euros a month.
Lots of workers share apartments together some arranged in advance and others when they arrive. For a 1 bedroom you can pay from €400 per month if you lucky and for 2 or 3 bedrooms €700 per month would be a kind of average I think.

    • Hi Collette

Some people book something for a short time before they come and then look when they get here and others contact Andorran estate agents before they come to have something sorted to arrive to. There's lots of estate agents here and they're called inmobiliarias. You will be able to find lots of different website of them searching on Google.

    • It can be quite hard to secure a job, but much easier if you have experience and if you work hard trying to find one - when you arrive you need to make sure you go around to the various bars & restaurants regularly, socialise with people, be friendly and then it's a lot easier.
    • Hi All,

I am currently and have been for quite a while been looking to establish some contact with a prospective bar/pub employer before I head to Arinsal (or any Andorran ski hills) for the upcoming season. Unfortunately I have been unable to converse with anyone on the matter. I am wondering if someone could please point me in the right direction of any bars that may possibly be hiring and some contact information, so I may try to establish some kind of connections before I head out? Any information would be very helpful and greatly appreciated!

      Cheers. Frank.
