  • Hi, I am in Arinsal this christmas, and I my parents have asked me to ask you guys if their are closures etc. on Xmas eve/day of the resort or amenities and if there are any nice things to do in the villages, or any places you recommend eating on Xmas day/eve? Also, is the candlelit descent organised by the travel companies, and if so, are we able to take part - I did it last year in France and it was amazing. Does anybody know what Neilson/Thomas Cook's activities in-resort are? Cheers, Lewis

  • Thanks for all your help! I think I am going to get 2 or 3 private lessons as I would actually like to spend some time skiing on my own and gaining more navigational skills. Also, Im quite a keen photographer so I would like to go and take some photo's Thanks, Lewis P.S I forgot to ask - Is there a boarder cross in Arinsal? - I can't seem to find it and I don't know much Catalan

  • Sorry, I just assumed that it was for the gold as it was the same price. The reason is that in January I had quite a bad experience with some Ski boots in Vars, France which the buckles literally fell off - and these were meant to be above average! I'm not going to get what time I get my boots get in the way of a good christmas Lewis

  • Hi again, We have now booked our trip to Arinsal for the Christmas week and me and my parents were wondering what happens in Andorra over the Christmas week. Which days are public holidays - Are the slopes likely to be busy? We are staying in the San Moritz - Are there any nice restaurants to eat at on Xmas day/eve? Do the ski slopes shut on Christmas day? Are the supermarkets closed for long periods of time over Xmas (We are Self catering)? Thanks a lot once again, Lewis, Cambridge, UK

  • Hi, Im coming to Arinsal in December and I was wondering whether there is tuition for those skiiers who can confidently ski parallel on Blue/Red/Some Blacks/Moguls but want to improve their carved turns to something more advancedz and fluid - According to the travel agency (Neilson) there is not but I just wanted to check otherwise. The reason is I am 15 years old and my parents and brother have never skied and are doing a beginners course which leaves me having to ski on my own which I do not f…

Also...First choice quote £84 per week for superior gear and the site online here quote £80 so I am wondering what the differences are and where they are collected from and what times etc.

  • Is this a good family hotel to stay in? - Does anybody know how frequent the ski bus goes etc.???

  • Hi Guys, My family are thinking of booking a skiing holiday in Arinsal for Dec 09 and I was wondering what the ski hire entails. My Mum, Dad and brother will be getting the Learn to ski pack with basic skis, boots and poles and tuition/lift passes. The problem is that I have skied extensively and I am wondering how good the quality/value for money the First choice 'Superior' equipment is or whether I am better off renting ski's from another location. Can any of you help me out? Lewis, Cambridge,…
