Travel

Travelling with a tour operator isn't for everybody! Whether you want to put your own holiday together because you want to travel independently, or you need the flexibility of not arriving and departing on a Sunday, putting your own holiday together can be very rewarding, not just because you can tailor it to exactly what you want, but also the satisfaction that you did it yourself!

There are five parts that will make up your holiday ...

1

Flights

There are several places you can book flights, and Sky Scanner is a useful tool to help you search. Have a look at our flights page to use it, and obviously don't forget about airlines such as Ryanair and Easyjet. It's also worth taking a look at traditional scheduled airlines such as BA or BMI as they can have some very good deals too! Most people tend to head for Barcelona or Toulouse, but you can also fly to Girona, Reus or Carcasonne.

2

Transfers

Once you're at your destination airport you have several options: rent a car, take a shuttle transfer or have a private transfer. Visit our transfers page for more information.

3

Accommodation

Choosing where to stay is very important, and first you need to decide the type of accommodation that you want. You can rent an apartment or a chalet, stay in a hotel, or stay in a a holiday apartment. Depending on what you have chosen you also need to pick your board basis whether you want self catering, bed & breakfast or half board. Some hotels will also offer a packed lunch option for you to take on the mountain! As well as our hotels and apartments pages, we also have a prices & deals page where you will find prices and deals for this winter.

4

Ski Pack

This is made up of your lift pass, lessons and rental equipment, with various different options to bear in mind. By booking independently you can choose whether to include group lessons or private lessons whether for one member of your group, or take an instructor all together. You can book your ski pack items at our online shop.

5

Insurance

Don't forget to take out adequate travel insurance for your holiday, and make sure it covers winter sports. If you intend to do any 'hazardous activities' such as heli-skiing or snowmobiling make sure these are included too.

So there's your quick guide to putting your own holiday together! Work your way around our travel section and look through the different options. Feel free to ask any questions or read the reviews on our forum or if you have any booking questions you can send us a message from the contact form.
